The slabs I made are meant to resemble the opposites between nature and man. See for the nature one i used a flower and more flowing shapes to tell how nature is more fluid and it grows. On the other I actually carved out a skyline to show what has replaced nature and I used a square pattern on the bottom to show how man made things are usually very organized and have a set way to be, just like squares. I used a lot of methods such as carving and scoring and slipping pieces on to give the slabs depth and believe they turned out great. After they were bisque fired I used two glazes; albany slip brown and iron lustre. On the nature one I put the albany slip brown over the iron lustre and did the exact reverse on the man made one.
